Strange Behavior

Strange behavior happens each and every year when the weather makes it's transformation from summer to fall here in southern Arkansas. Camo clad men in pick up trucks pulling trailers loaded with the makings of high-rise platforms and small woodland gardens, wildlife fodder and a no-holds barred way of getting through rugged terrain.

Hunt Club societies pitted one against another, closely guard their territories with heavy gates, 'No Trespassing' signs and sundry other measures to thwart rivals from getting 'the big one' that should be theirs.

The mighty hunter is on the move, it's in his blood, he can't help it. It's almost deer season and preparations are the order of the day.

The hope of getting that colossal 18-point buck is on the wish list of every hunter around these parts. And I say may divine intervention bless them all!
