A Pleasant Surprise

Today after returning home from running a few errands in town, I was surprised to find a package sitting on my sideboard addressed to me.

A Gooseberry Patch book and a sweet little note from my dear sister wishing me a wonderful birthday.

The drawings are so adorable, don't you think! On the cover it says, "For Bees and Me - A Bouquet of Garden-Fresh Recipes, Memories, Hints, Simple Pleasures, Herbal Beauty Potions, Backyard Entertainment and Easy to Make Gifts!"
